In Memory of Drew Hunter

Friends of Rotoiti share with great sadness the news of the sudden passing of one of our founders, Roderrick Hunter—known to all as Drew. Drew passed away on December 19th, and a memorial service was held in his honor on January 25th.

As his family recalls, Drew found peace and purpose in the natural beauty of St Arnaud Lake Rotoiti. He was a leader in the conservation of native birds and dedicated to trapping pest and wasps, ensuring the preservation of the environment he loved so much.

We will miss his company, his cheerful enjoyment of our many tasks, his enthusiastic leadership and mentoring.

Gone, never forgotten.
